Norman Lionel OFFIELD

offield (2)
ArmsArgent, a cross gules thereon another Or on a chief sable three caltraps gold.
CrestAn arm embowed in armour ppr. garnished Or holding in the hand also proper a caltrap sable.

Mr Offield’s main hobby was jousting and he wanted a simple shield that would allow for the continual need for repainting. Jousting is also reflected in the armoured arm of the crest. The red cross on silver arises from an association with the name Offield, but this had to be differenced with another gold cross. The caltraps are associated with Mr Offield’s family on his grandmother’s side.
